What We Treat

Counselling can support you in so many ways. Many people go to counselling for personal development and prevention but there are many reasons people decide to seek support such as addressing mental health concerns, understanding what is happening for them, breaking old patterns or habits, creating a new normal, and so much more.

In this section, there some common concerns that I help people address and I hope I can support you also! If you wondering if I can support you, please reach out and let me know what you need and i'll let you know if I can help you or find someone who can! 

Trauma

Trauma can include single, multiple, or long-lasting repetitive events. Sometimes we don't even understand that what happened to us could have been trauma and/or the trauma can be intergenerational. How an event affects a person can entirely depend on the individual. Whichever the case, we can help manage  symptoms you might be experiencing and help you get back to a fulfilling life.   

Anxiety

Everyone feels worry or nervousness from time to time. However, for some people, anxiety can impact our everyday lives and make social situations, work situations, and relationships with others complicated. Anxiety can range from mild symptoms to panic attacks, OCD, phobias, and PTSD. Whatever the case, we are here to help you with your specific concerns, and develop skills and techniques to help you manage a lot better and get back to enjoying your life. 

Grief and Loss

Loss and grief can come in many forms from the loss of a loved one, significant changes in life or health, divorce, etc. Whatever the cause, we can support you in finding acceptance, allowing yourself to feel the emotions, adjusting to a new reality and developing healthy and positive coping strategies. 

Neurodivergent Supports

Do you or someone you know need support with ADHD, Autism, or other learning disabilities? We are here to help you understand the amazing ways your brain copes differently than other brains and to help put in place skills and strategies that can help you manage in a way that works for you and your family. This can include helping you get the support you need from doctors and other supporting professionals.   

Depression/Suicidal Ideation

Depression and sadness can have many causes. It can often leave us feeling sad, angry, hopeless, and can impact our sleep, relationships with others and our relationship with ourself. Some people can experience minor problems coping while others may experience noticeable problems and suicidal ideation. Whatever the concern we are here to help you find the support you need to live the life you want.  

Life Changes and Transitions

Managing a change in life or a new transition? Sometimes our life changes come on suddenly and unexpectedly. Sometimes they are things we choose and other times they are out of our control. Whichever the case, we can help you process what is going on and develop the skills and tools you may need to adjust to your new life with ease and comfort.
