Helpful resources for in times of need or to enhance the work you are doing with your counsellor. Please feel free to check in with your counsellor around what additional resources could be helpful for you! 

Crisis Lines: If you are experiencing a crisis please follow your safety plan and/or call one of the crisis lines listed below. If this is an emergency, visit the nearest hospital or call 911. 
 
BC Crisis Centre

BC's Crisis Line 1-800-SUICIDE provides direct support if you, or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide. Services also include phone outreach and follow up support. The phone line is available in over 140 languages using a language service.

KUU-US Crisis Line (crisis support for Indigenous people): 1-800-588-8717
 
Kids Help Phone (1-800-668-6868) has toll-free, 24-hour phone, counselling and referral service for young people. You can also connect by texting CONNECT to 686868, and chat confidentially with a trained, volunteer Crisis Responder for support with any issue. If you would like to stop the conversation text STOP.

Trans Lifeline (crisis line run by and for trans people): 1-877-330-6366
 
VictimLink BC: 1-800-563-0808.  VictimLinkBC is a toll-free, confidential, telephone service 24/7 across B.C. It provides information and referral services to all victims of crime and immediate crisis support to victims of family and sexual violence, including victims of human trafficking exploited for labour or sexual services. VictimLinkBC provides service in more than 130 languages, including 17 North American Aboriginal languages.

Offers supports to residential school survivors and their families experiencing intergenerational trauma such as counselling, emotional support, and cultural supports.
